hi there

Hi there friends! I'm still alive and crafting!
I recently returned from sunny LAS ANGELES!!! Cherie, Adair and, I went to CHA to choose new products for the store! We had an amazing time. We came back right before the severe winter weather experience here at home. Yikes!!! We were so tired but so inspired! However, we were not prepared to be snowed in for a week... yes... four whole days of no school! I was so happy to be home with my sweet family! However, do you know how much teenage boys eat in 4 days????
Last week my sweet baby boy had a birthday. He is now an official teenager! Yep.... the big 13!
It really hit me hard... I'm telling you, the years have flown by! I miss the baby days... sometimes.  I have adored him little. But let me tell you...I'm in such awe of watching who he is becoming! If you get the chance, have a conversation with my little man.... he is a smart cookie!
Well, I had a birthday last week too... we don't need to talk about my age though, ok? My so fabulous husband suprised me with me very own ....laptop!!! YIPEEE! and... it's PINK! So, I hope to be blogging more... well, I'm gonna try!
My hubby and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary yesterday with a date to a dinner theater. He also sent me the most beautiful flowers (still learning my laptop, so pictures in the next post!). Girls, I'm pretty sure he's a keeper!
Well, that's all I've got for now. On my agenda this week is some check-ups for my teenagers (hopefully no shots involved), a couple meetings at Scrapper's Boutique, and posting our new calendar for classes.
OH, and looking for my new car! The van is on its last legs! Kinda sad to say bye to my old friend.... well not really, but about what it has meant to our family ( I see a page layout about this coming up).
XOXO, Lynn

This is my very first card made with copics! This summer, I took all 3 of Jen del Muro's Copic Classes at Scrapper's Boutique. I loved them all. I vowed not to get started with the copic markers because I have so much other art stuff (official description I swear *insert grin here). However, I love coloring with these markers.Truth is, I've always loved to color! I used to buy tons of color books for my boys. But, they soon lost interest in them in favor for match box cars, action figures, and legos. And still, I had a drawer full of coloring supplies. But, ah, I digress. So... I have more art stuff! I've lost my room amongst my things! I vow that in the near future I will have my room organized, (don't ask me when, but it'll happen)! Any one want to lend me their cleaning fairy? Hmmm... One day!

Supplies used: MFT stamp with sentiment, Webster's Pages printed paper, Bazzill swiss dot paper in red, American Crafts glitter paper, Neenah white paper and MFT Die-Namics flower swirly thing (yep, another official term *grin*)

I love my life!

Today was my first official day at my new job! I am the Event-Coordinator for the Scrapper's Boutique. When I began going there to crop and spend time with my friends, I never imagined I would be given this over-the-top oppurtunity! I love this store- it is homey, welcoming and a wonderful place to be. And Cherie is so very sweet. She has gone out of her way so many times for me. I am so very thankful to be a part of her store! I will also be teaching some of my own designs. Little nervous about this part, but excited too. I hope you'll stop in to see what I have planned!
Life is so very good...
and I am so very blessed.

This week has been life changing on the home front as well. My first born, my Anthony, started highschool. I did really good on Monday after dropping him off (still not over the fact that I no longer get to walk them into school and take pics at their desk or with their teacher * insert big pout here*). I really think I was kind of numb. I kinda kept to myself , felt a bit out of sorts and, quite grumpy. Tuesday, I thought would be better, so off to school we went. But, there he went... up the stairs, looking unbelievably grown up. And...
I cried like a big baby. There he went toward his new future. and without me, but this is what its supposed to be, for my creative, dedicated, thoughtful son to be... yep... a teenager! How I love that boy!
Vincent started school last week. A seventh grader. He is so grown up. Usually my happy go-lucky boy, he's a little stressed with all the things he has to remember, loads of homework, and the dreaded uniform. And I'm  quite sure the heat is not helping. This boy is still my sunshine! Hang in there buddy, I'll help you as much as I can, and when I can't... I'll just hug and squeeze you!
